The support of my professors throughout the experience enabled me to improve my lesson plans each time and gave me the confidence to push not only myself, but also the students in my clinical placements. I finished the semester feeling confident that I can be an effective teacher in the future and knowing that the foundations laid by my professors in the Cato School of Education will lead to rewarding and valuable learning experiences.

Program Info

The Cato School of Education offers licensure programs in Elementary Education K-6, Secondary Education 9-12 and Foreign Language Education K-12. We have identified the crucial role of the teacher as that of an independent learner. It is critical that teachers keep abreast of current knowledge and skills in their field of study. Their task is to be a model of a learned and learning person for students and through role modeling and instruction to give students the tools that enable them to become independent learners themselves.
