Transformational Scholarship Program at North Carolina State University

The program will award 20 scholarships to future teachers each year for five years, beginning with the 2022-2023 academic year.  Each scholar will receive $10,000 per year for four years plus funds to support their professional development. Students will also receive mentorship and coaching from the NC State College of Education and exemplary eastern North Carolina educators, engage in field experiences in North Carolina public schools, and have access to leadership development resources.

Eligibility:

To be eligible students must be accepted into NC State University’s College of Education and must be from a North Carolina community east of Interstate 95.  Only full-time freshmen students will be eligible.

Of those eligible, scholars will be chosen based on:

• Financial need
• Commitment to fair and accessible education
• Commitment to the teaching profession

How to Apply:

Students must apply to NC State University by November 1st  and select the College of Education as their first choice.
